In 2024, the UK introduced massive changes in the visa rules comprising of student visas that left everyone guessing how it can impact the immigrants. Though many think that it is a situation to sit and understand, as per the experts from the British Council, the impact of this change is moderately limited. Here is all you look for.

What are the alterations in the student visa rule?

Lately, the UK introduced a rule in the student visa policy. From Jan 2024, the international students enrolled in the postgrad research programs will not be able to bring their wives, parents, children, or other dependent members of the family to the country. However, the rule doesn’t apply to Master of Research (MRes) and Doctorate program students.

How can it affect the international students?

As per the experts, this rule might not affect the international students. the majority of the UK postgrad programs are relatively short-term which can last around a year. Therefore, the influence of the deviations can be moderately limited compared to study durations in dissimilar international education destinations. Therefore, it doesn’t meaningfully alter the general educational experience or the breaks available across the UK. However, visa routes like the Graduate Route, Young Professionals Scheme, and Skilled Work visas are not affected by this rule. The alteration in the visa policy can impact only a portion of international students. The students who are planning to study in the UK, need to book  student accommodation in Birminghamon time.  Selly Oak Court Birmingham is one of the best accommodations with added amenities.
